the tale of the winter king – the book is out

That took a while

Four years work – and I finally have the book out.

Self published on kindle of course – as I can’t get a single editor or agent to even look at it.

But that’s fine, I thought to myself, I will just have to manage without an agent, without a publisher. Publish it myself -raw – a raw book, warts and all.

I have put it through every online editor available to iron out the errors that creep in when writing by the seat of your pants.

Oh, and I went over the manuscript at least three times with the iron and an axe. to iron out the wrinkles and chop out the dead wood.

I do have to mention though, that I used a great site called critique match where there are absolutely marvelous people available to help you work things out. I can recommend that site.

Reedsy is also excellent, well worth a look.

The writing of the initial storyline took me about three months. After this first draft I left it to sit awhile and worked on something else. Then I got back to the book for the first rewrite, after which there were the endless rounds of editing. This is what took so long. here the real work happens.

Yes, it’s true – most of writing is editing.

After all that I still like the book, in fact I like it better now.

So, perhaps it’s not really raw, just slightly underdone –

No, I take that back

it’s RAW.

here is the link to my raw unedited paperback

“The tale of the winter king” – Book 1 -of the series – Land of the sacred mound.
