Here she stands, contemplating the birdsong in a tiny river valley in France. We go out bird watching with her often. Jo is deeply knowledgeable about all the birds in the area. I am often more interested in the plants which I find fascinating, herbs and shrubs, ferns, and orchids, even lichens and mosses.

We love this area and often walk here with her, drinking in the richness of nature.
