AI artificial intelligent is not really intelligent at all

all it can do is regurgitate what it has been programmed with

It has been programmed with the creative material, of all kinds, from humans. even the programming has been done by humans.

It can only copy, this begs the question of copyright, were any of the producers of the creative work that AI has been programmed with ever asked of compensated for the initial work?

I don’t think so

This is very worrying, perhaps the programmers should release the information concerning its original programming and pay the real creatives for their work.

Having used the available AI on the internet, I can honestly say it is not a creative application, it is  unintelligent and has limited parameters. If questions are very specifically detailed it can throw up regurgitated answers form it’s database, it cannot think.

I have also found something I find quite distasteful.
It holds specific views, prejudices and opinions, which can be accounted for by the currently held world view of it’s programmers. Thus it has quite specific limitations in its capabilities, which are also the limitations in the thinking held by it’s programmers.

This closed information cycle makes it virtually impossible to criticise or change anything in the workings of current AI engines available to the public.
As, its programmers think they are right, so AI ‘is’ obviously also right.

Again, I don’t think so.

It is an interesting toy, and it is slightly amusing for a short while. like a social media platform that talks back.
